The Embassy in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has organized a business meeting at the FICCI Federation House. The meeting was attended by H.E. Umod Ujulu, president of the Gambella Regional State, H.E. Ambassador Demeke Atnafu, Ambassador of Ethiopia to India and H.E. Dr. Lou, the head of Regional investment Bureau and H.E. Mr. Elias Gedamu, Head of Majang zone of Gambella Region.
In the opening remark, H.E. Umod Ujulu highlighted the extensive investment prospects within the Gambella region, including its rich natural resources such as agriculture, fertile soil coupled with abundant water resources and extended a warm invitation to Indian entrepreneurs, urging them to invest in Gambella and take part in Ethiopia’s transformative journey towards sustainable development and economic prosperity.
Dr. Lou, the Head of Regional investment Bureau delivered a detailed and insightful presentation elucidating the region’s investment opportunities across priority sectors such as Agriculture, Industry, Mining, Tourism, and ICT with particular focus on Agriculture, Agro-processing, Aqua culture, Apiculture, livestock, fishery development areas.
The interactive session was attended by representatives comprising over 30 companies, present both physically and via Zoom.
