H.E. Ambassador Demeke Atnafu attended the “Folk Clock” International Dance and Music Festival organized by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) at Chandigarh University on December 2, 2023.
As the Hon’ble Chief Guest, H.E. Ambassador Demeke briefed the audience about long-standing historic, civilizational, cultural bonds and linkages that bind Ethiopia and India for centuries, by emphasizing key areas of cooperation such as diplomatic, education, culture and traditions, trade and investment.
During the event, 16 members of the Ethiopian cultural troupe from Mulualem Cultural Center presented mesmerising and diverse traditional dances, infusing the festival with a vibrant, culturally rich dimension, enchanting the audience with the depth of Ethiopian culture.
The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Devinder Singh-Pro Vice Chancellor, Chandigarh University, (Dr.) Davinder Chhina, Global Heritage Exponent & Festival Director, Chandigarh International Folk Festival, cultural groups of different countries, staffs, Ethiopian and international students of the university.
