Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB) hosted H E Demeke Atnafu Ambulo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Ms Hilina Mekonnen, Third Sectretary of the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to India on Thursday the 11th April 2024 during their two day visit to Kolkata.
 
While interacting with the members of ICIB, His Excellency stressed on the fact that opportunities can be identified and created through person to person meeting. He invited Indian businesses from all sectors such as IT, ITeS, Iron and Steel, Healthcare, Education, Tourism, Food Processing etc to visit Ethiopia and meet the local businesses there. He assured that the Government of Ethiopia alongwith the Indian Embassy in Ethiopia would extend all cooperation in facilitating the B2B meetings through the Ethiopian business associations and local Chambers of Commerce.
 
He further suggested that doing business in Ethiopia be considered as an opportunity to reach out to other African countries too under the scope of various existing B2G and G2G agreements.
 
He applauded the significant role that Chamber of Commerce such as ICIB plays in connecting businesses across borders. He also mentioned the great friendship the two countries have been sharing and bi-lateral trade and commerce would increase significantly in the years to come.
